What Is a Visual Field Test — and Why Does It Matter?
A visual field test measures the full extent of what you can see — both straight ahead and in your peripheral vision. It's a painless, non-invasive diagnostic test that gives Dr. Tran critical information about the health of your optic nerve, retina, and visual pathways.

The test is performed one eye at a time. You'll look at a central fixation point while briefly appearing lights flash in different areas of your visual field.
You Respond to What You See
Each time you see a light flash, you press a button. The device records your responses and maps out your complete field of vision — including any areas where sensitivity is reduced.

The results are analyzed immediately. Dr. Tran will walk you through your visual field map, explain any findings, and discuss what — if anything — needs to be done next.
