How do I know if I have Demodex or blepharitis?
Common signs include itchy or crusty lash lines (especially in the morning), red swollen eyelids, recurring styes, and eyelash dandruff. Dr. Tran confirms the diagnosis with magnified imaging of your lash line — you'll see exactly what we see.
Is the treatment painful?
No. Deep Eyelid Cleaning feels like a professional exfoliation, and IPL sessions involve brief warm pulses of light with protective eye shields. Most sessions take 20–30 minutes with no downtime.
How many sessions will I need?
Most patients complete one Deep Eyelid Cleaning followed by 3–4 IPL sessions spaced a few weeks apart. Dr. Tran will confirm your plan at your evaluation.
Can I just use wipes or scrubs at home?
Home hygiene helps maintain results, but it can't eliminate an established mite overpopulation or the inflamed blood vessels driving the cycle. That's what the in-office protocol addresses.
Is it covered by insurance?
The evaluation is often covered by medical insurance. Treatment packages are self-pay, and we accept CareCredit, FSA, and HSA — we'll verify your benefits before your visit.
